About Jump Trampoline Club

Jump is a very successful Trampoline club for the benefit of the local communities, to develop each child’s individual ability and to maximise their potential, but most importantly to engage them in an activity that is fun and exciting in a safe and controlled environment.

We aim to give members a real sense of achievement, at whatever level they progress to. We encourage members to train as officials and coaches while regulating, encouraging, developing, facilitating and safeguarding the sport of trampolining. The club is based in a small town called Hailsham near Eastbourne in East Sussex. It started in Hailsham in 1979 as an adult only class under leisure Centre management. Freedom Leisure they were able to expand and opened a child’s class. It was quickly recognised that they needed to start more children’s classes. In 2005 the club changed to Hailsham Community College Sports Hall and is currently running 6 beginner’s group’s three advanced children’s groups and two mixed and advanced adult classes. With three squad classes on a Tuesday Jump is open 17 hours a week.  At 15 years old the children are recognised as adults and they join the two 1 ½ hour sessions for the adults on Monday nights.

Trampolining has become recognised as an option in the national curriculum and is becoming an increasingly popular option for GCSE and ‘A’ level students. At this club we are lucky to have our head Coach who teaches at Hailsham Community College. Her results over the last 15 years have put the school at the top of the British Schools rankings and all local schools are encouraged to compete at the British Schools competitions with the clubs support this involves over 70 kids of all ages annually. These competitions have been the most successful for the club winning every title through Novice at all age groups and Elite U15 boys, U19 Girls and U19 Boys.  British Schools recently added Intermediate category where jump were U19 individual and Girls team National champions in 2015.

The Club also competes on the National Grading Circuit starting at G,H&I as County Competitions and on to F-C Regional Competitions all held at Gillingham, then finally on to National Competitions held all over the country. The club has had major success at all of these events.

Jump T.C is an extremely social club. Regular social events for older members take place including a Christmas dinner, for the younger members’ presentation evening disco and end of term fancy dress and games with the Jump show being the highlight of the year for all members.
